If somebody had told me earlier that there was absolutely no subtext between the two male leads (or them and anyone else, for that matter), I would have started watching it quite a long time ago, I think.

Oh, fandom...

(I'm halfway through season 2. It's not inspiring much fannishness - I doubt I'll ever rewatch - but it's fun to watch once.)
